Marie Virginia Campbell Bailey, 83, died, Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Funeral services was held 3:30 P.M., Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Congregational Holiness Church with interment in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. in the Church prior to the service. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Mrs. Bailey was born August 29, 1928 in Dillon, SC, the daughter of the late John and Mamie Hyatt Campbell. She was a daycare provider and owned Miss Ree’s Little Folks Home which she operated for over twenty-five years. Gardening was her favorite pastime. She was a member of Congregational Holiness Church.
She is survived by her son, Charlie (Faye) Bailey of Dillon; daughters, Dianne W. Haithcock of Bluffton, SC and Patricia W. (John) Clark of Monroe, NC; sisters, Iris Johnson and Elizabeth Page both of Dillon, Kathleen Barfield of Conway, SC, and Doris Lang of Central, SC; grandchildren, John Clark, Jr., Kristie Clark, Nicole Clark, Chad Haithcock, Connor Bailey, Erin Bailey, and Madison Bailey; great grandchildren, Maegan Richardson and Brianna Clark; and a great-great grandchild, Hanley Jordan.
