Randolph Gurley
The City of Dillon’s Mayor Pro-Tem Randolph Gurley has been arrested on a charge of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, Dillon County Detention Center officials confirm.
A SLED official confirmed to The Herald on Wednesday that Gurley was under investigation by the agency, but did not state the nature of the investigation.
Gurley has been the subject of many media reports over the past few days due to an alleged criminal domestic violence incident with his wife, which both denied to a local media outlet.
Gurley has been on the Dillon City Council since 1995. His current term expires in April 2011.
