James Edward Rogers, 61, died at his residence on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Rogers was born on October 8, 1950, in Dillon, SC, the son of Claudia Mae Davis Rogers and the late Harry McNeil Rogers.
He was a self employed painter and was a member of Dillon Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Helen H. Rogers of the home; his mother, Claudia Mae Davis Rogers; his sons, Jason McNeil Rogers of Marion, SC, James Corey (Shelley) Rogers of Latta,SC; his daughters, Kimberly Diane Carter and Brittany Leigh Rogers both of Latta, SC; his brothers, Danny (Sylvia) Rogers of Dillon, SC, Jackie Rogers of Buhl, Alabama, and Alton (Donna) Rogers of Columbia, SC; his sisters, Diane Rogers and Kathy Hyatt both of Dillon, SC; and Bonnie (Ronald) Herring of Hamer, SC; sister-in-law, Deborah M. Rogers of Fayetteville, NC; and seven granchildren, Presley McNeil, Brooke Carter, Bryson Rogers, Jamie Rogers, Randy Smith, Alexus Smith, and Bella Rogers.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Wade and Frankie Rogers; and sister, Mary Sue Brazell.
