• Dillon’s Kwinton Smith and Jalik Bethea were both named to the Region 8AA All-Region team, with Marion’s Marqui Mckelvy and Mullins’s Darnell Coleman sharing Player of the Year honors. Marion’s John Washington was named Coach of the Year.
• In addition to recently being named All-Region, Dillon’s Chelsea Frazier was named to the South Carolina High School Basketball Coaches Association All-State team. She was the only local basketball player to be named All-State this season.
