Lady Wild Gators Fall to Creek Bridge

After falling to Creek Bridge by 11 points on Friday, the Lady Wild Gators added another loss on Tuesday when they fell to Hemingway’s Lady Tigers 77-22.

Hemingway dominated the game, outscoring Lake View 12-3 and 22-4 in the first half and holding Lake View scoreless in the third while adding 23 points. Hemingway finished up by outscoring Lake View 20-15 in the fourth.

Diamond Scott, Shanta Blow, and Diamond McFadden each scored 10 points to lead Hemingway. Scott also grabbed 10 rebounds. Deja Woodberry, Iresha Cooper, Keondra Snow, Tanisha Woodberry, and Kelsey Washington each added eight points in the win, with Kaniya Burgess adding four, Wyne Brown scoring two, and Jasahannah Wilson sinking one.

Jasmine Ford led Lake View with eight points, and Tranya Ford and Tomeka Green each added four. Britney Washington earned three, Kayla Sanderson scored two, and Diayah Williams added one point for the Wild Gators.

Hemingway is now 11-3 overall with an undefeated 6-0 record in Region 8A. Lake View slips to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in the region.

Lake View will host their next three varsity games, staring with Aynor tonight at 6:00 p.m. On Friday, they’ll take on Green Sea-Floyds at 6:15 p.m., and on Tuesday, January 24, they’ll host Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m.
