Lady Warriors Fall 65-17 to Lady Golden Eagles

Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell to Pee Dee Academy’s Golden Eagles 65-17 on Friday.

Pee Dee Academy took a strong 22-2 lead in the first quarter, but the Lady Warriors held them to just six points in the second, but were behind 28-5 at the half. The Lady Warriors attempted a rally in the third, adding nine points, but Lady Eagles added 11, and finished off the win by outscoring DCS 26-3 in the fourth.

Abby Gregg and Meghan Webster each scored 12 points to lead Pee Dee Academy, with Mary Gregg adding 10 and Heather Gibson and Hannah Martin each earning eight. Tori Johnson added five in the win, and Jennifer Smith and Karlee Dozier each scored four with Taylor Herrington adding two.

Amanda Bass led the Lady Warriors with nine points, with Lauren Lee adding seven and Kathryn Brown earning one.

The Lady Warriors fall to 2-14 overall with a 1-6 record in SCISA Region 4-AA. Pee Dee Academy improves to 11-1 overall and 6-1 in the region.

Dillon Christian School will host The Kings Academy tonight with varsity action beginning at 6:00 p.m. On Friday, the Lady Warriors will take on The Byrnes Schools.
