Deborah Kelly

Deborah Evans Kelly, 52, of 3280 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA. She was born March 20, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Clara Sweatt Evans and the late Paul Evans. She was married to Robert W. Kelly of the residence, who survives. She was a member of the Church of Truth in Martinsville, VA and also attended Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Dry Fork, VA.
Mrs. Kelly dedicated her life to the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A devoted mother, she was a professional home engineer and an outstanding home school teacher of 28 years. She co-owned and operated O’Kellys Deli and Pastries in Danville with her loving family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter: Grace Kelly, of Danville, five sons: Gerald Kelly and wife Lisa, Joseph Kelly, Jason Kelly, Jonathan Kelly, and Joshua Kelly, all of Danville, three sisters: Toni Hellwig and her late husband Reggie of Warner Robbins, GA, Gail Springs and husband Boogie of Florence, SC, and Jeannie Blackwell and husband Thurmond of Hartsville, SC, two brothers: Paul Evans and wife Donna of Gastonia, NC, and Lonnie Evans of Dillon, SC, one granddaughter: Alannah Kelly, of Danville, two nieces, five nephews and beloved friends Kenny and Leigh Latchum, and a host of others.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dry Fork, with Rev. Bill Preskitt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the residence.

Barbara Jean McLellan
Barbara Jean McLellan, 73, passed away on Monday, November 28, at Morrison Manor.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Forester. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry N. Baker (Jay W.Baker) of Laurinburg; granddaughter, Halea J. Baker of Laurinburg; siblings, ArchAnna Blanchard (Charlie) of Raleigh. Bill McLellan (Ann) of Greenville, SC, Dick McLellan (Jacque) of Lexington, SC, Ann Collie (Nick) of Laurinburg, and Dot Murray (John) of Laurinburg; a sister-in-law, Jackie McLellan of Fork, SC. She also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gordon “Rock” McLellan.
Born March 3, 1938 in Hamer, SC she was a daughter of the late Henslee and Bessie Thompson McLellan.
She attended Winthrop College and served as an investigative analysis for the FBI for 45 years initially in Washington, DC and for many years in Jacksonville, FL. After her retirement she worked part-time at the Cracker Barrel in Lumberton, a position that kept her in contact with numerous people.
She loved her family dearly – and her friends – assuring that no one was left out of any family gatherings.
