The chase for a state football title may be over for our local teams, but the quest continues for many around the state.
While Christ Church claimed the Class A Division II state title, Abbeville defeated Hemingway 20-0 to claim the Class A Division I title on Friday.
In Class AA Division I, Timberland moved past Dillon to face Woodruff for the state title after Woodruff defeated Strom Thurmond 41-34. In Division II, Bishop England shut out Silver Bluff 21-0 while Central defeated Columbia 21-20 to move on to the state championship game.
Class AAA will see South Pointe and Bluffton face off in the state championship.
Class AAAA will feature Gaffney and Byrnes in the Division I championship and Goose Creek and Greenwood in Division II.
