Larry Eugene Cook, 60, died at home Friday, September 9, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, September 11, 2011 in Little Rock Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Kannaday Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7:00- 9:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon, SC.
Mr. Cook was born February 15, 1951 in Dillon, SC, the son of the late Christine Caulder and Eugene Cook. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He attended Francis Marion College and was a graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and was employed as a Deputy with the Dillon County Sheriffs Department.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Wanda Hayes Cook; son Gary (Chanda) Cook of Marion, SC; daughters Niki (Bobby) Chavis of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Somer (Ron) Stubbs of Dillon, SC; grandchildren Stephanie Chavis, Trey Chavis, Taylor Chavis, Caleb Stone, Rebecca M. Cook, Logan Stubbs, Lucas Stubbs and Hunter Stubbs. Also surviving Mr. Cook are very special Aunts Nell Caulder, Nancy Hyatt, Dean Davis and Phyllis Cook and special companion Baxter.
Mr. Cook was predeceased by brother Greg Cook.
