Gordon Elementary is going to a three schools within a school model this year. The three academies are listed below:
4th Grade Success Academy
At the Academy of SUCCESS (Students Using Caring Creative Efforts to Strengthen Skills), they care about the SUCCESS and achievement of each and every child. They promote a learner-centered education in a safe and pleasant atmosphere. All students are challenged to reach their maximum potential by providing a solid foundation of skills, knowledge, and values.
They strive for each child to embrace joy and compassion for learning.
Their belief is that education is the foundation of life successes. Therefore, our goal is to encourage, guide, and support all students to be successful and become life-long learners.
The Fourth Grade SUCCESS Academy was created on the premise that active partnerships between students, parents, community, and staff will enable our students to be successful and become community leaders. Success is the key!
5th Grade Academy of Excellence
The Academy of EXCELLENCE strives to be the benchmark of academic excellence! They are committed to providing learning experiences that assist our students in achieving their greatest potential while adapting and adjusting to a diverse and ever changing society.
Their mission is to serve their students with the understanding that diversity of gender, physical or mental ability, culture, and background is a STRENGTH to be RESPECTED.
In order to meet the needs of their diverse student population, The Academy of EXCELLENCE will provide individualized education addressing each student’s unique learning styles, independent thought, and promote the building of character which will enable them to contribute to their communities in meaningful and positive ways. Their academy strives to attain high academic achievement and personal growth.
This will be accomplished through continued cooperation between school, community, parents, and students.

6th Grade Leadership Academy
The Sixth Grade students at Gordon Elementary will be a part of the Leadership Academy.
Leadership is the process in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.
The mission of the Sixth Grade Leadership Academy at Gordon Elementary is to provide a learning environment rich in opportunities for our students to lead our school, community, state, and nation. These students will be taught the skills to become leaders through innovative and exciting lessons using advanced technology.
The students will focus on the core principles of leadership: Vision, Communication, Scholarship, Service, and Character. Their students will know tomorrow belongs to the children who are prepared today. Leaders are not born, they are made at Gordon Elementary. The core principles are vision, communications, scholarship, service, and character.
