Shown in these photos is the construction occurring at the Lake View Middle School/High School addition and renovation. The existing middle school will be replaced with an addition at Lake View High School. This will consist of seven new classrooms, one science room, a computer lab, a media center, principal’s office, miscellaneous administration area, etc. An existing wing will be remodeled into three classrooms and an exceptional children’s classroom. Remodeling will consist of minor repair, refinishing, re-fixturing, and extension of new systems as required.
At the last Dillon County Board of Education meeting, the board was informed by Rodney Alexander of Cumming SMG that the underground utilities were 95 percent complete; site demolition was 95 percent complete; the building pad was 95 percent complete; the foundation installation was ongoing; the asbestos abatement in Building 100 was complete; and the ceiling light installation in Building 100 was ongoing.
