Patricia Clark
(nee Brigman and Bethea)
September 7, 1930 to July 21, 2011
She was a wife and mother, and especially cherished her title as “Mema” to
her seven grandchildren. She was born in Blenheim, SC to Austin and Jennie
Berry Brigman. In 1950, she married Lacy R. Bethea Jr, of Latta, SC. The
USMC sent them to San Diego, which she called home for the next 58 years.
She was later married to Roy Cashion and Ray Clark. She is survived by her
children, Roberta Bethea Holmerud (Jon) and Jody Bethea (Tracie) of Bonita,
CA and Janice Sakala of Beaverton, OR; her grandchildren, Sara and Laura
Sakala, Kristin Marshall (Jonathan), Steven Holmerud and Zachary, Aaron, and
Joshua Bethea. Services will be held July 29, 2011 at 11:00 at the College
Center Chapel, 6322 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, with interment at El Camino
Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, Box 3206,
Chula Vista, CA 91909.
