Latta’s 18U Phantoms defeated Westchatum 5-3 over the weekend before falling to the Slingers in a close 3-2 game.
The Phantoms are scheduled to appear in the 2011 South Carolina CSA State Championship at Byerly Park in Hartsville on July 30 and July 31. The 8U, 10U, 12U, and 18U teams will all be participating in the double elimination tournament.
The 8U and 10U teams are also scheduled to play in the CSA’s 2011 National Championship in Hartsville beginning Friday, August 12. All four Latta teams will also play in the Third Annual Ashlie Pipkin Memorial Tournament in Sumter, SC, on Saturday, September 10.
