Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators defeated Abbeville 1-0 tonight in the first round of the state softball series. With two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning in a scoreless game, Morgan Wethington hit a home run to clinch the game for Lake View.
Lake View will travel to Abbeville for game two on Wednesday.
