Mrs. Dorothy Branch Cox passed away at her home in Lake View, SC on May 14, 2011 following a short illness.
Mrs. Cox was born in Robeson County, on April 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Willie and Tulah Spivey Branch. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. Mrs. Cox was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband Roscoe, daughter Betty Cox-Smith and granddaughter Elizabeth Cox-Smith of Charleston, SC, a sister Nina Rogers of Fairmont, NC. She is preceded in death by Charlie Branch, Weldon Branch, Rick Branch (brothers), Gertrude Ford, Pauline Walters and Fannie Cox (sisters).
The family will receive friends Monday May 16, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Cook’s Funeral Home, Lake View, SC. Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Lake View Cemetery, Lake View, SC.
