Services for Sonny Boy Powers will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Powers, 60, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, October 16, 1950, he was the son of the late Lewis Powers and Gracie Smith Powers. He attended Floydale Mission Church, and was a retired Painter.
Survivors include his companion, Ruby Small of Dillon; son, Grady Powers (Tracy) of Dillon; daughters, Renee Powers (Chris) of Dillon, and Paula Powers (Jody) of Lexington, SC; granddaughters, Amanda & Chelsey Powers, and Heather Powers; brothers, Jerry Lee Powers, John Powers, and Lukie Powers, all of Dillon; sisters, Barbara Barker, Gladys Caulder, Lucille Loftin, and Luvenia Grice, all of Dillon; special niece, Kristy Jacobs (Steve); numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Bruce Parker.
