Dillon’s junior varsity Wildcats traveled to Wilson on Monday, April 4, to claim 7-2 and 5-1 wins in a double header with the Tigers.
In game one, Jarvis Graves started things off with a run in the first inning, followed by runs from Heath Freitas and Kaleb Page in the second to put the Wildcats ahead at 3. Ethan Hayes and Blake Deese each added a run in the third and fifth innings to give the Wildcats the win. Weston Bailey was the winning pitcher.
In game two, Jarvis Graves again started things off, this time hitting a double and coming in on a fly to right field from Weston Bailey. Ethan Hayes hit a single and was brought in by a single from Heath Freitas to put the Wildcats ahead with 2.
The J.V. Cats would get all three of their remaining runs in the fourth inning, with Freitas, Del’Quan Spears, and Jarvis Graves all scoring runs. The winning pitcher was Blake Deese.
The wins improve the junior varsity Wildcats record to 3-3 this season. They were scheduled to play Aynor on Wednesday in a makeup game from March 31.
