Dillon High School’s Lady Wildcats took down the Marion Swamp Foxes 15-0 on Tuesday.
Shaquailla German pitched all four innings for the Wildcats, facing 14 batters and allowing only two hits and one walk.
Hitters included German, 2-for-4 with one run, a double, a home run, and three RBIs; Darby Hamer, 2-for-2 with two runs and a double; Lindsay Powers, 2-for-3 with one run, two RBIs, and one stolen base; Shayna Covington 1-for-2 with three runs, two RBIs, and four stolen bases; Rebecca Callahan, 1-for-2 with one run and two RBIs; Dallas Rowell, 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI; Taylor Price, 1-for-3 with one run and an RBI; Tara Grimsley, 0-for-4 with two runs; and Chelsey Wallace, 0-for-3 with two runs.
The Lady Cats improved their regular season record to 4-1 with the win, with a 3-0 record in Region 8-2A. Dillon was scheduled to travel to Lake View on Wednesday night to take on the Lady Wild Gators in a non-league bout.
On Friday, March 25, the Lady Cats will host Aynor at 6:30 in their next region matchup before traveling to Waccamaw on Tuesday, March 29.
