Wild Gators Shutout Bears 10-0

Lake View shut down the Carvers Bay Bears 10-0 in five innings on Friday, March 18.

The Wild Gators scored their first run in the second and added seven in the third and two in the fourth to end the game after five innings with a run-ruling.

Zack Allen was the winning pitcher, going four innings with no hits, no runs, and one walk, striking out eight Bears. Shawn Lewis pitched one inning for Lake View, also giving up no hits and no runs, striking out two.

Jordan Miller and A.J. Hyatt were the lead hitters for Lake View, both going 2-for-2. Miller made two runs, and Hyatt had two RBIs. Also batting for the Gators were Zack Allen, 1-for-2 with one run and three RBIs; Steele Spivey, 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs; Hunter Walters, 1-for-3 with one run and an RBI; David Townsend, 1-for-3 with one run and an RBI; Chris Ford, 0-for-3 with one run; Cody Cox, 0-for-1 with two runs; and Eric Munoz, 0-for-2.

Carvers Bay’s McLean pitched all four innings for the Bears, allowing 10 runs, eight hits, seven earned runs, and three walks, striking out six.

Lake View’s record improves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in Region 8-A. Tonight they’ll host Creek Bridge for a double-header beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tomorrow night, they’ll travel to Pee Dee Academy for a 5:00 p.m. matchup, and on Friday they’ll travel to Latta to face their region rivals at 5:30 p.m.
