Ben David McKenzie, 77, died in his home, January 11, 2011. Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, January 14, 2011 at Kannaday Funeral Home.
Mr. McKenzie was born in Dillon County, December 1, 1933, the son of the late Beulah Grimes and Wally Lee McKenzie. He was married to the late Lillian Bizzan McKenzie. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was retired from the Air Force and the Latta Police Department.
He is survived by his brother, W. L. McKenzie of Lakeview, SC, nephews, Lundy (Linda) Brigman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Fred (Jackie) McKenzie, Jr. of Treyburn, MD, Dexter (Anne) McKenzie of Allendale, VA, Wayne McKenzie of Charlotte, NC, nieces, Patty McKenzie of Dillon, SC, Kathy (Jerry) Gray of Kemper, SC, Trudy (Dave) McKenzie of Charlotte, NC, and Betty (Garrett) Miller of Lake View, SC.
