Two people were shot in separate incidents this past weekend, according to Detective Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly before midnight on Saturday, a man was shot four times on Oven Bottom Road in Lake View.
The man told police he was walking down the road when a van came up and one of the people on the van robbed him. Five shots were fired at the man, he was struck by four. He was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
In a separate incident shortly after midnight, Arnette said a man was shot on Page Street in the Newtown area. Arnette said the events of the incident are unclear at this time. The man was shot once. He was taken from the hospital and was still a patient at press time, Arnette said.
