Robert E. Lee Takes Home Victory Over DCS Ladies
Robert E. Lee returned home on Friday, January 10, with a 54-18 win over the Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors in varsity action played in Dillon.
Robert E. Lee’s Rebecca Dinkins and Mallory Christmas each scored a game-high 16 points. Caleigh Barrett added 14 points. McElveen contributed 6 points in the win while Atkinson added 3 pints. Shannon garnered 2 points in the game.
Dillon Christian School’s Olivia Stone connected for 5 points, and Heasley added 4 points. Taylor Britt and Grace DuBose each connected for 3 points. Shayla Hunt added 2 points, and Michele Chen sank a free throw.
The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors will travel to Marlboro Academy today (Tuesday, January 14). Support your team.

Lake View Ladies Get Win Over Flashes
The Lake View Lady Wild Gators picked up a 64-22 win over the visiting Johnsonville Flashes on Wednesday, January 8, in Lake View in varsity basketball action.
Lake View jumped out to an early 24-6 lead after the first period of play and by halftime was up 34-11. After 3 quarters, Lake View held a commanding lead.
Lake View’s Gwendasia Page and Sa’Nyah Williams each scored 13 points in the win. Jaleya Ford placed 11 points on the scoreboard. Zan’Dasia McNeil added 9 points while Ja’Niyah Waters connected for 8 points. Samoria Nesmith, and Tianaa Hamilton each connected for 3 points. Mi’Lashia Wheeler garnered 2 points.
Johnsonville was led in scoring by Kierra Wright with 9 points. Wilson, Timmons, and Graham each placed 4 points on the scoreboard while Brown sank a free throw.
Lake View will travel to Dillon on Wednesday, January 15, for a 6:00 p.m. game.

Lady Wildcats Fall By One Point To Bulldogs
The Dillon Lady Wildcats suffered a 1-point loss, 57-56 to the visiting Marlboro County Lady Bulldogs in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Wednesday, January 8.
Dillon was up 15-4 after the first period of play and by halftime was up 35-19. After 3 periods of play, Dillon held a 46-39 lead. However, in the final period of play Marlboro outscored Dillon 17-10 to take the 1-point lead.
Marlboro’s T. Lowe scored 18 points in the game to lead the Lady Bulldogs in scoring. She connected on four 2-point shots, three 3- point baskets, and 1 free throw. S. Oliver connected for three 3- point shots, one 2-point basket, and 1 free throw for 12 points. J. Norman hit four 2-point baskets for 8 points. S. Brown connected on two 2-point baskets and 3 free throws for 7 points. K. Ashwood hit two 2-point baskets and a free throw for 5 points. K. Ashwood made a 3-point shot and a 2-point shot for 5 points. L. James garnered a 2-point basket.
Dillon’s Jykya Bell had 25 points to lead the Lady Wildcats. She connected on six 2-points baskets, three 3-point baskets, and 4 free throws. Shantazia Gordon had 13 points on six 2-point shots and a free throw while Jayla Goodwin connected on two 2-point baskets.
Chyna Pouncey, Deanna Lane, and Andrianna Ervin each garnered a 2-point basket. Allaysse Simmons sank a free throw.
The Dillon Lady Wildcats committed only 2 fouls in the first half but committed 10 fouls in the second half.
The Marlboro Lady Bulldogs committed 4 fouls in the first half and 8 fouls in the second half.

Bulldogs Get Win Over Dillon Boys
The Marlboro County Bulldogs left Dillon on Wednesday, January 8, with a 53-37 win over the Dillon Wildcats varsity boys basketball team. The Bulldogs were up by 11 points, 16-5 after the first period of play. At halftime, Marlboro County was up 31-12. After 3 quarters, the Bulldogs were up 45-22. Marlboro County’s Kieran Leviner scored a game-high 17 points. Ryan Dupree connected for 10 points while Jameik McCoy had 7 points. Devonta Oliver and Shamar Morris each had 5 points. Shawn Lucas added 4 points, and Dre Scott connected for 3 points. Wesley Brown garnered 2 points. Dillon’s BoBo McKinnon tossed in 14 points to lead the Wildcats. Daizion Alford connected for 6 points while Omar McKinley had 5 points. McCall and Keshawn Greer each had 4 points. Christopher Wright and Brennen Reeves each garnered 2 points. Lake View Boys Drops Close One To Flashes
The Lake View Wild Gators varsity boys dropped a close 63-60 loss to visiting Johnsonville Flashes on Wednesday, January 8, in Lake View. The Wild Gators enjoyed a 16-9 lead after the first period of play. At halftime, Lake View was up by 8 points, 32-24. After 3 periods of play, Lake View was down by a single point, 47-46.
Johnsonville’s Quez Lewis scored a game-high 19 points. Nyavius Gilliard connected for 12 points, and Isaiah Brown had 11. Savion Graves had 10 points, and Avant had 6 points. Moore and Hanna each garnered 2 points. Montrell Waters scored 20 points to lead Lake View in scoring while Larry Inman had 10 points. Ja’Correus Ford, Jiqyle Reaves, and Elijah Bethea each had 8 points. Marquise Johnson contributed 6 points for the Wild Gators. Lake View will travel to Dillon on Wednesday, January 15. Vikings Defeat Andrews
The Latta Vikings defeated Andrews 60-54 in varsity boys basketball action played recently. Although Latta was down by 1 point at halftime in this close contest, Latta took the lead after 3 quarters of play. Latta’s Trevon Miles scored a team-high 16 points. Jamario Taylor added 15 points. Raheim Bowman and Tydreck DeBerry each connected for 8 points while Andrew Bryant added 6 points to the scoreboard. Jones added 3 points, and Tysean Johnson garnered 2 points. Latta will host Carvers Bay tonight (Tuesday, January 14). Support your team.
