First Steps will hold its annual board meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, 5:45 p.m., at the City of Dillon Wellness Center located at 1647 Commerce Drive, Dillon, SC.
The Election committee will present the 2019-20 Officers and the 2019-23 board member nominees for election. The nominees are:

Approval of New DCFS Partnership Board Members:
Background: DCFS board members serve a four-year term in their role on the partnership board.
Issue: The four-year term ends on October 21, 2019.
Recommendation: It is recommended the returning board members review the new candidates selected by the nominations committee and elect board members for FY 2020-2023.
Approval of Officers:
Background: DCFS Officers serve a one-year term in their role on the partnership board.
Issue: The one-year term for Fiscal Year 2019 is completed and is time for reassignment of positions.
Recommendation: It is recommended the board review candidates selected by the nominations committee and assign officers for Fiscal Year 2020.
Executive Director, Officers, and Budget Committee Chair Authorization
Background: Annually DCFS Board of Directors must approve for the Executive Director, Officers, and Budget Committee Chairs to sign official DCFS documents, budget reallocation forms, and contracts.
Issue: Executive Director, Officers, and Budget Committee Chairs need approval to sign documents for Fiscal Year 2020.
Recommendation: It is recommended that DCFS Board of Directors approve the Budget Committee Chair, Officers, and Executive Director to sign official documents, budget reallocation forms, and contracts with no limitation on budget reallocations or contracts.
