LATTA – Danny Kline Johnson, 67, died Friday, July 12, 2019, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 4:00 P.M. at Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC.
Mr. Johnson was born April 25, 1952, in Dillon, SC, the son of the late Everett Kline and Sarah Stephens Johnson. Danny retired after thirty-eight years at BI-LO Food Store as a Manager. He coached a summer league baseball team in Latta to the 1997 State Championship. Mr. Johnson enjoyed cooking chicken bog, fishing and hunting. He was a member of Latta Southern Methodist Church. Danny was the widower of Wanda Gray Johnson.
He is survived by his sons, Danny Johnson, Jr. (Belinda) of Charleston, WV, Mark Johnson of Latta, SC and Clint Johnson of Latta, SC; brothers, Mike Johnson (Sissy), David Johnson (Betty Jo) and Val Johnson (Anne) all of Latta, SC; and six grandchildren.
