Lady Gators Get Win Over Green Sea

The Lake View Lady Wild Gators returned home on Friday, March 22, with a 12-5 win in varsity softball.
The Lady Wild Gators racked up 15 hits while holding Green Sea Floyds to 6 hits.
Lake View managed 2 runs in the top of the first inning and held the lead until the bottom of the second inning when Green Sea Floyds knotted the game at 2. Lake View again placed 2 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the third inning to take a 2-run lead. Green Sea Floyds once again knotted the score at 4 in the bottom of the third inning. Lake View took a 1-run lead in the top of the fourth. Green Sea Floyds battled back and tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lake View added 2 runs in the top of the fifth inning, 2 funs in the top of the sixth, and 3 runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Lake View’s Raven Locklear had a home run, a double, a single, and 2 rbi in her 4 at-bats. Baylee Miller connected for a double, 2 singles, and 2 rbi in her 5 at-bats. Milashia Wheeler had a home run, 2 singles, and 2 rbi her 3 at-bats.
Lake View committed 2 errors in the game.
Raven Locklear was the winning pitcher. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 6 hits, 5 runs of which 4 were earned, walked 4, and struck out 4.
Caroline Davis was charged with the loss. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 15 hits, 12 earned runs, walked 6, struck out no one, and 1 hbp.
Lake View will travel to Lamar on Thursday, March 28, for a 6:00 p.m. game.
