The Latta Vikings varsity football team returned home from Pamplico on Friday, October 19, having suffered a 42-21 loss to Hannah-Pamplico.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Cam Profit scored 2 touchdowns on passes from Eric Mays. Mays also scored a rushing touchdown.
Latta’s Dylan Brewer completed 5 of 12 passes for 57 yards and 1 touchdown. Brewer also carried the football 11 times for 83 yards while Chandler Nolan rushed for 87 yards on 10 carries. Nolan also caught a pass for 25 yards and had 8 tackles.
The Vikings’ Brandon Hayes had 1 reception for 10 yards and a touchdown. J R McClam had 3 catches for 22 yards and also had 6 tackles. Tysean Johnson carried the football 14 times for 80 yards. Jamario Taylor rushed twice for 3 yards.
Latta’s Chandler Matthews had 11 tackles while Jay Bailey had 9 tackles.
Haden Graham, Tommy Aiken, and Brandon Hayes each had 3 tackles for Latta while Brice McRae and Kiese Blake each had 2 tackles. Trey Anderson, Zach Jones, and Dashad Smith each had a tackle.
Latta will host Mullins on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m.
