PHOTO GALLERY: Fork Presbyterian Church Celebrates Three Months Of Powerful Prayer

By Betsy Finklea
Fork Presbyterian Church celebrated the conclusion of their “Three Months of Powerful Prayer” campaign on Wednesday evening. During the months of June, July, and August, members prayed for their church that they will become the church that God wants them to be and that they will increase the number of members that God wants them to have. They had posters for each month, and members placed a sticker on the poster for each prayer they offered.
Some of the things that happened for the church during those three months included: 1. Attendance is up! 2. Choir room painted! 3. New lights! 4. New shelves for members! 5. New Director of Audio-Visual! 6. New member 7. Sound Room in progress! 8. Youth group started! 9. Tithes and Offering up! 10. Outside of church painted! 11. Our Custodian keeps our church clean and smelling good.
Rev. Adrienne Anderson reminded the members that “God is everywhere so we can pray everywhere.” Members are still expected to continue praying for the church.
The celebration began with comments from Rev. Anderson. Those in attendance then enjoyed a hot dog supper with all the trimmings.

After a good meal and fellowship, those in attendance enjoyed a viewing of the movie, “The Shack,” complete with popcorn and drinks.
The church has several events in the coming month in including a recognition of all grandparents on September 9th during the morning worship; family night on September 12th at 7:00 p.m. featuring Bo Poston and Titus 2:11; and recognition of the policeman and firemen on September 30.
