Carolinas Arts Guild Learns About Quilt-Making

At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, members and guests of the Carolinas Arts Guild met in the Parish Hall of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
For this occasion, Mrs. Lorene Arnette provided an overview of the quilt-making process.
She discussed and displayed some magnificent hand-made quilts she had created over the years out of a variety of materials. Some of these quilts had received awards when they were entered in competition.

Mrs. Janey Nida of Latta displayed brightly colored art quilts she had made, and Mrs. Donna Borders and Mrs. Jackie Norton presented historical quilts that had been passed down from several generations of their family members.
The public is invited to attend the next meeting of the Carolinas Arts Guild at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, in the Parish Hall of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
At that time Mrs. Linda Anderson will present a program on painting pastels and greeting cards, as well as designing fabrics.
Mrs. Anderson’s art work is mainly on-line using Print on Demand for Artists.
