PHOTO GALLERY: Lake View Comes From Behind To Defeat Hannah-Pamplico

The Lake View Wild Gators came from 6 runs down in the fourth inning to win 9-8 over the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders on Saturday, May 5, in varsity baseball playoff action in Class A lower state.
The Raiders placed 2 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the third inning and added 5 runs in the top of the fourth inning before the Wild Gators could score a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Hannah-Pamplico scored another run in the top of the fifth inning. Lake View scored 6 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the lead to only 1 run. In the bottom half of the seventh inning, Lake View’s Jett Lewis connected for a single to right field that scored Jonathan Davis and Thomas Skipper to give Lake View a 9-8 win.
Each team connected for 7 hits in the game.
Hannah-Pamplico committed 5 errors in the game while Lake View committed 3 errors.
McKinley Turner connected for 3 hits including a home run and 4 rbi in his 4 at-bats while Mason Hicks picked up 2 rbi and 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
Lake View’s Thomas Skipper was perfect at the plate with 2 hits in 2 at-bats while Jett Lewis picked up 3 rbi on 2 hits in 3 at-bats.
Peyton Jackson picked up the win for the Wild Gators. He pitched 4 innings and allowed 2 hits, 2 runs that were not earned, walked 1, and struck out 2.
Garrett Turner suffered the loss. He pitched 1 and one-third innings and allowed 3 hits, 4 runs of which only 1 was earned, walked no one, and struck out no one.
Lake View will play a team to be announced on Wednesday, May 9, at location to be announced.
