The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office has received a number of calls from concerned citizens regarding phone calls from a caller stating he was Deputy Phillips and also using the name Judge Paul Burch that they had missed jury duty and needed to post a bond. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office does not operate in that manner related to a juror missing jury duty. This is a scam and please do not give out any of your personal information or send any money. If you have received a call related to this and you have concerns about the call or were scammed contact your local law enforcement agency.
