The Dillon County Council elected a new chairman and vice-chairman at a called meeting on Friday.
The council casts their vote by secret ballot. It is the only time that the council votes this way.
In a 6-0 vote, Stevie Grice was elected chairman of the Dillon County Council. He is in his fourth year serving on council.
2017 Chairman Archie Scott passed the gavel over to Grice, the new chairman.
A vote for Vice-Chairman was also taken. In a 6-0 vote, T.F. “Buzzy” Finklea, Jr. was elected vice chairman.
