Wildcats Hand Vikings 72-56 Loss

The Dillon Wildcats handed Latta a 72-56 loss in Dillon on Wednesday, January 10, behind the 16-point production of Corrain Wright. Wright connected on 6 of 8 free throws while hitting 4 of 6 shots from the field.
Dillon held a 12-point lead, 24-12, after the first period of play.
It appeared that each time Dillon would get momentum and begin to pull away that Latta would fight back.
At halftime Dillon’s lead was down to 7 points.
By the end of the third period of play, Dillon had increased the lead to 13 points, 54-41.
Damari Ladson and Ty’Quan Porter each connected for 15 points while Darius Boatwright added 12 points. Charles Zy’Aire contributed 10 points, and Justin Green garnered 4 points.
Dillon managed 27 defensive rebounds plus 12 offensive ones in the win.
The Dillon Wildcats traveled to Lake City on Friday, January 12, while Latta had a bye.
The Wildcats will host Georgetown tonight, Tuesday, January 16, and Latta will host Andrews.
