Dudley Russell Hunt, 41, of Elgin, SC, formerly of Dillon, SC passed away Monday, November 6, 2017.
Born in Bennettsville, SC September 17, 1976, he was the son of the late Dudley and Lula Jane Hunt.
First Sergeant Hunt served in the US Army for 22 years which included 4 overseas tours
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Deanna Hunt; three children: Xavier, Alyssa, and Jeremy Hunt; brothers and sisters, Douglas A. Hunt, Melissa A. Oxendine, Christopher P. Hunt, Anna M. Beach, Wendy L. Gardner, Wayne A. Hunt, Alice J. Freeman, Christina J. Hunt, his mother in law Jeanette Hernandez, the Alonzo/Benavidez families, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, along with his military, golf, and hunting families.
Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Hunt and Lula Jane Hunt and his brother, Joey Haynes Hunt.
Services will be held 3:45 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Pee Dee Baptist Church in Clio, SC. Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon, SC. Burial with full military honors will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4710 Percival Road, Columbia, SC.
