James Robert “Buddy” Miller, 78, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Mullins Nursing Center where he has resided for more than twenty years.
Funeral service was held Friday at Cooper Funeral Home with a private burial in Lake View Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, November 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert Carl Miller and Vieta Gardner Miller. He loved machines, drove golf carts to Little Rock, and liked licking ice cream. Buddy drove a tractor pulling tobacco drags. He loved to work and was never a burden, but a blessing.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lillie Mae Miller, Carnelle Miller and Margaret (Milton) Samuels; and one brother, Leroy “Dink Miller.
