Edna Lois Hodge of Rowland was born Monday, March 28, 1921 in Dillon, SC to the late Howard E. Bracey and Nancy Bracey and was born into eternity Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Morrison Manor Hospice in Laurinburg NC, completing her journey of 96 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Yancey “Yank” Hodge; one son: John Howard Hodge; one grandson-in-law: Andrew “Andy” C. Brown; one sister: Grace Jackson; six brothers: McKoy Bracey, Percy, Bracey, Marvin Bracey, Forest Bracey, Dewey Bracey and Carroll Bracey. Mrs. Lois was a member of The First Baptist Church of Rowland; she enjoyed her family, cooking cakes, fishing and sewing.
She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Lois Carter and husband Tommy, of Hamer SC, four sons: Mickey M. Hodge and wife Faye of Rowland, Walter D. Hodge and wife Emily of Rowland, Michael L. Hodge and wife Gloria of Red Springs, Bishop C. Hodge and wife Shelly of Hamer SC; 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at The First Baptist Church of Rowland, Rev. Thomas Allen Officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6PM-8PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Boles Funeral Home in Rowland, NC.
