Dillon 50, Marion 37
The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated the Marion Lady Swamp Foxes 50-37 in varsity basketball action played in Marion prior to Christmas in the A&J Tournament.
The Lady Wildcats were led by Jykya Bell who scored a game-high 17 points.
The Lady Swamp Foxes were led by Ariaher Morrisey with 14 points.
Dillon took a commanding 14-2 lead after the first period.  However, the second period tightened with Dillon scoring 11 points and Marion connecting for 10 points.
The Lady Swamp Foxes outscored the Lady Wildcats 10-9 in the third period but Dillon outscored Marion 16-15 in the fourth period.
Harley scored 9 for the Lady Wildcats while Graves connected for 8 and Manning added 7. McCrimmon garnered 4 points and Campbell added 3 while Pouncey connected for 2 points in the win.
Johnson added 7 for the Lady Swamp Foxes while Williams connected for 6.  Britt added 4, and Vereen and Godbolt garnered 2 points.
After this game Dillon was 2-1 for the season and was scheduled to play Mullins in the tournament.

Dillon 58, Mullins 55 – Dillon wins tournament title
Marion 51, Lake City 31

WILDCATS
The Dillon Wildcats defeated Fairmont, N.C., 84-77 in the Bladen County, N.C., Tournament played in Bladenboro, N.C., on Thursday, December 29.
Keenan Norman scored 27 points and Ty’Quan Porter added 22 in the Dillon victory.
Dillon held a 4-point lead after the first period but was trailing at the half by 7 points 44-37.
Dillon fought back in the third period and outscored Fairmont 26-18 to regain a 1-point lead 63-62.
Dillon managed to score 21 points to Fairmont’s 15 in the final period to capture the victory at 84-77.
Javier Brookins connected for 11 points and McClam added 9 in the Wildcat victory.
Rogers hit for 7 points, Flecher for 4, La’Jairus for 3, and Wright for 2 points in the win for the ‘Cats.
Dillon will travel to Latta on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The Dillon Wildcats defeated Scotland County, N.C., 52-49 in boys varsity basketball action played in Bladenboro, N.C., on Wednesday, Dec. 28, in the West Bladen, N.C., tournament. Javier Brookins led Dillon in scoring with 21 points.
McClam added 8 points while Boatwright connected for 7.
Rogers and Porter each had 5 points while Norman hit for 3, Flecher for 2, and Wright for 1.
