Jimmie Ervin Daniels

     Services for Jimmie Ervin Daniels will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial with military honors will be held in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
     Mr. Daniels, 70, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
     Born in Dillon County, SC, August 7, 1946, he was the son of the late Lonnie Daniels and Ella Carter Daniels.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War in 1965-1966.  He received the Vietnam Service Medal w/ 2 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Marksman (M-14 Rifle), National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert (106 RR), and the Purple Heart.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, retired from Wix, and he attended Dillon High School.
     Survivors include his sons, Michael Daniels (Gay) of Dillon, and Jimmie Craig Daniels of Hamer; special friend, Cynthia Hyatt; brothers and sisters, Mildred Mishue, Cathorine Price (Bobby), Lonnie Daniels (Julie), Charles D. Daniels (Mary), Johnnie Daniels (Cheryl), and Kenneth C. Daniels (Rosemary); 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
     Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva C. Daniels; his brothers, Rembert D. Daniels and Benjamin F. Daniels; and his sister, Dorothy Lee Campbell.
