Lake View Baseball Team Blows Out Marion

The Lake View Wild Gators varsity baseball team defeated Marion 15-1 in a game played Wednesday, March 9, in Marion.
The Gators’ Nick Collins picked up the win while striking out 7 in the 3 innings he pitched. He allowed only 2 hits.
Ronnie King was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 12 hits, 10 runs, 8 earned runs, and struck out 2 in 2 1/3 innings.
Lake View put runs on the scoreboard in each of the 5 innings played. Lake View picked up 14 hits while holding Marion to 3.
Marion’s lone run came in the fourth inning.
Lake View committed 2 errors while Marion committed 6.
Lake View was in control of the game from the very first inning when scoring 3 runs.
De’Ante Bridget garnered 3 hits in 3 trips to the plate for the Wild Gators including a home run, a double, and 4 rbi.
Lake View’s Brent Herlong connected on a home run while going 2 for 3 and also picked up 3 rbi.
The ‘Gators’ Collins was 3 for 4 including 2 doubles.
Lake View played Mullins in Lake View on Friday, March 11, at 6:00 p.m.
