DHS Girls Basketball Team Blow Out Marion (updated with photos)

The Dillon High School girls’ varsity basketball team blew out Marion last week, 75-46.
Dillon held a commanding lead in all four periods. In the first period, Dillon scored 20 points to Marion’s 9. In the second period, Dillon added another 21 points to Marion’s 11, bringing the score to 41-20 at the half.
Dillon came back out after the half scoring 18 points in the third period while Marion garnered 13 points. In the fourth period, Dillon got another 16 points to Marion’s 13 points. The final score was 75-46.
Khamele Manning, who was recently honored for scoring 1,000 career points, led the team with 23 points. Oria Campbell followed with 13 points. Kia Bell had 11 points. Andrianna McCollum had 9 points. Also adding points were Da’Kerhia Samuel with 8 points, McCrimmon with 4 points, Ny’Asia Campbell with 2 points, and Na’Kedra Page with one point.

For Marion, Shayriah Johnson had 13 points followed by Morrisey with 9 points, Bethea with 4 points, Mason with 4 points, Williamson with 4 points, Crowner with 3 points, Walters with 3 points, Howard with 2 points, and Peterson with 2 points.
After this game, Dillon’s record went to 13-1 and to 2-1 in Region 8-2A.
