The Lady Warriors of Dillon Christian School fell 63-33 to a very talented Lady Bobcats team of Carolina Academy Thursday night at Warrior Gymnasium.
The Bobcats took the lead early and never looked back. The Bobcats held a 20-6 lead at the end of the first period and went up 30-10 going into the halftime break.
The Lady Warriors have a much improved attitude but they still lack size at certain positions and are going to have to find ways to stay with taller and often more experienced teams.
The Bobcats increased their lead to 50-21 by the end of the third period and added 13 points in the final period to take the 63-33 win.
On the board for the Bobcats, Malery Ward had 21 points with 8 rebounds, Lydia Durant had 14 points with 6 rebounds, Hannah Weaver had nine points with 6 rebounds, Alley Gaskins and Reagan Castles had 8 points each, Madison Lee had 2 points with 3 rebounds and Maggie Prosser added a point with a rebound. On the board for the Warriors, Sara Bass had 20 points with 8 rebounds, Samantha Carpenter had 13 points with 11 rebounds, Audrey Polverari had 6 rebounds, Erin Hamer had 4 rebounds, Katelynn Thompson and Caitie Eggret had 3 rebounds each and Madison Moody added a rebound.

The Dillon Christian School JV Warrior boys team upped their record to 7-1 on the season by defeating the JV Bobcats of Carolina Academy 44-27 Thursday night at Warrior Gymnasium.
The Warriors took the lead early and never looked back. On the board for the Warriors, Ian Bethea had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, Walt Bailey had 14 points, 17 rebounds, 3 steals, Hunter McDuffie and Kyle Floyd had 6 points with 2 rebounds each, Josh Brown and Trent Johnson added one point each.

The Dillon Christian School Varsity boys lost 58-51 to the visiting Bobcats of Carolina Academy Thursday night at Warrior Gymnasium.
The Warriors are a young team that got a late start in training due to the fact that all of the players were on the football team that delayed basketball practice because of the football team making it as far as the lower state playoff game.
The Warriors seem to keep themselves in games against taller and more experienced teams because they have developed a winning attitude on the football field.
The Bobcats held a 12-7 lead at the end of the first period and lead 25-19 at the half time break.
The Warriors picked up the pace in the third period and threatened to take the lead but the more experienced Bobcats battled back to hold onto a 38-35 lead as the period ended.
The Bobcats out rebounded the Warriors in the fourth period and closed out the game with the 58-51 win.
On the board for the Bobcats, Benjamin Lamb had 20 points, Connor Floyd had 19 points, Josh Weaver had 9 points, G. Webster and Zach Hill had 4 points each and Luke Ferrell had 2 points.
On the board for the Warriors, Michael Minges had 15 points, 7 rebounds, Jackson Wolfe and Red Williams had 7 points with 4 rebounds each, Nick Smith had 6 points with 5 rebounds, Teshawn Lane had 3 points with 5 rebounds, Corbin Weathington added a point with a rebound and David Williams had 2 rebounds.
