After falling 6-3 to Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Saturday, Lake View’s Wild Gators stayed alive in the playoffs with a 20-0 win over Timmonsville in an elimination bracket game on Monday night.
Peyton Cox and Nick Collins combined for a three-inning shut out on the mound, and Weston Rogers, Josh Price, Justin Elliott, and Brent Herlong each had two hits in the win.
The Wild Gators improved to 21-6 overall with the win.
Lake View was scheduled to travel to Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Wednesday night for the Class A, District V championship game. Lake View needed to win twice to claim the title.
