Warriors Finding Success in Spring Seasons

Dillon Christian School’s teams are having a successful spring season.

The Warrior soccer team is off to a 2-2 start with eight games left in the season.

“They have been playing really well,” Athletic Director Christian Wolfe said. “They have been competitive in every match.”

The Warriors will be back in action tonight to host Pee Dee Academy at 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday to host Faith Christian of Cheraw.

The Warrior golfers finished second in region play at the City of Dillon Municipal Golf Course on March 26 and Jim Carr earned medalist honors in the match. The Warriors will have another week off before returning to action on Thursday, April 16, with Marlboro Academy hosting.

In B-team softball action, the Lady Warriors are 4-3 returning from spring break.

“All of their losses have been by only one or two runs and have come against JV teams with ninth and tenth graders,” Wolfe pointed out. “We are a true B-team with sixth through eighth graders.”

In B-team baseball, the Warriors are having an excellent season with a 6-0 record returning from the break.

“They have not had much competition so far,” Wolfe said. “If these boys stay together, we have the making of a strong baseball program for the next few years.”

The Lady Warriors are 3-3 in varsity softball action so far this season with just one region loss. The Warriors will host Lake View tonight at 5:00 p.m. and will be on the road at Emmanuel Baptist on Thursday and Pee Dee Academy on Friday.
