Lady Wildcats Return to Action with 8-2 Record

Dillon’s Lady Wildcats are off to a great start to the 2015 season, holding an 8-2 overall record and a 3-0 record in Region 8-2A as they return from spring break.

Shaquailla German leads the Lady Wildcats on the mound with a 4-2 record. German has allowed 18 hits, 15 runs, six earned runs, five wild pitches, four hit by pitch, and 15 walks, but struck out 46 batters so far this season with one shut out. Tiffany Dwyer has a 3-0 record on the mound for 15 hits, one home run, one walk, seven runs, four earned runs, three wild pitches, and two hit by pitch, striking out 11 batters. Tori Grimsley has also picked up one win on the mound for six runs, four earned runs, three walks, and one hit by pitch, striking out two.

German also leads the Wildcats with 17 hits with 19 RBI, four runs, and two home runs. Erin Bailey has 12 hits with four doubles, seven RBI, six runs, and one home run; Auh’Kieria Smiling has 12 hits, 15 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, and seven RBI; Ashley Phillips has 11 hits, nine runs, one double, and three RBI; Shar’Asia Samuel has nine hits, nine runs, one double, one triple, and five RBI; Brittany Miller has nine hits, three runs, two home runs, and five RBI; Da’Kerhia Samuel has eight hits, seven runs, one double, one home run, and five RBI; Johnna Rogers has seven hits, four runs, one triple, and one RBI; Tori Grimsley has five hits, six runs, and two RBI; Tyieshah Jones has five hits, seven runs, and one triple; Taylor Blackmon has one hit and two runs; and Adoshia Graves has one hit and three runs so far this season.

Smiling has four stolen bases; Shar’Asia Samuel and Da’Kerhia Samuel each have two stolen bases; and Blackmon, Phillips, and Jones each have one stolen base.

In the field, German has made 37 put outs and Jones has made 26. Phillips and Da’Kerhia Samuel have made nine each; Roger and Bailey have each made eight; and Shar’Asia Samuel has made seven. Rogers has made 20 assists in the field, with Bailey making 14, German making 11, and Miller adding 10.

The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to be back in action at Loris on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and will be at Waccamaw on Friday, April 10. Dillon will be back at home on Tuesday, April 14, to host Mullins. Game times are set for 6:30 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local team!
