Dillon’s Lady Wildcats earned an 11-4 win over the Aynor Blue Jackets on Thursday night in varsity softball action.
Shaquailla German pitched a complete game for five hits, four runs, one earned run, five walks, one hit by pitch, and one wild pitch, striking out eight.
At bat, Ashley Phillips went 3-for-3 with two runs scored; Brittany Miller hit a home run, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run scored; Auh’Kieria Smiling went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI; Shar’Asia Samuel went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one RBI, and two runs scored; Tyieshah Jones went 1-for-3 with one run; Shaquailla German went 1-for-4 with one RBi; Da’Kerhia Samuel went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run; Erin Bailey went 1-for-4; and Taylor Blackmon scored one run.
In the field, Tyieshah Jones made eight put outs; Phillips made two put outs; and Shar’Asia Samuel, Da’Kerhia Samuel, and Johnna Rogers each made one put out. Rogers also made four assists; German made three; and Bailey and Miller each made two.
The Wildcats are now 8-2 overall and 3-0 in Region 8-2A.
Dillon will be off for spring break this week but will return to action on Tuesday, April 7, at Loris at 6:30 p.m., and at Waccamaw on Friday, April 10.
