Two City of Dillon police officers, Sgt. Allen Turner and LCpl. Austin Grice, received an award recently in Virginia Beach, VA.
The award was for the recovery of approximately $400,000 in stolen Rolex Watches from a jewelry store in Fayetteville, NC.
This was recovered after an interdiction traffic stop on Interstate 95. Two people from the traffic stop ran but were apprehended a short time later.
This award was presented at the Annual National Criminal Interdiction Conference.
The award was presented by Sgt. Ron Hain with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois.
