Three Local Players Named All-State

Dillon’s Khamele Manning and Latta’s TaKeria Legette and Davonta Porter were all named to All-State teams by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches association.

Porter was named to the Class A boys all-state team, joining Arkel Williams of Carvers Bay and Travion McCray of Timmonsville. Justice McCollough of Lamar was named Player of the Year.

Legette was named to the Class A girls all-state team, along with Justice Gee of Timmonsville, Diamond McFadden of Hemingway, and Jayla Ravenell of Cross. Shayla Bennett of Christ Church earned Player of the Year honors.

In Class 2A, Dillon’s Manning was named all-state along with Brittan McDonald of Mullins, Crystal Williams of Johnsonville, and Kemoni Jenkins of Whale Branch. Jaleah Lasane of Mullins was named the Player of the Year.

The Class 2A boys team included Jalek Felton of Mullins, Zeke Beckman of Loris, Kevon Williams of Ridgeland-Hardeeville, and Wanye Moore of Andrews. Chesnee’s Deion Holmes was named Player of the Year.
