Mrs. Earlene Sanderson, 86, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home after an illness.
A graveside service will be Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the family home at 265 Kemper Church Road, Lake View.
Mrs. Sanderson was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late John and Annie Rhodes Smith. Mrs. Sanderson loved her family and her dog, “Little Man”. She loved all animals and also liked to watch her garden grow. A favorite pastime of hers was riding her golf cart with “Little Man”.
Mrs. Sanderson is survived by 5 sons, Archie (Jackie) Sanderson of Dillon, Dan (Annette) Sanderson of Dillon, Steve Sanderson of Dillon, Tabor Sanderson of Lake View, Jay (Christie) Sanderson of Marion; 5 daughters, Jane Church of Dillon, Jean (Kenny) Rouse of Fork, Jill (Mike) Tyndall of Dillon, Lisa Townsend of Lake View, Amy (Randy) Grove; brother, Earl Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Pat Smith of Columbia SC; 26 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and her fur baby “Little Man”.
Mrs. Sanderson was preceded in death by her husband, Archie B. Sanderson; daughter Jody Cox; son in law, James Earl Cox; grandson, Justin Townsend; 3 sisters, Jane Hill, Mary Bell, Lucille Elvington, 2 brothers, JW Smith and Wayne Smith.
