Services for Gracie Turner will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Turner, 90, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at her residence.
Born in Horry County, SC, January 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Altman and Rosa Lee Wiggins Altman. She was a retired Seamstress, and was the widow of the late Cicero H. Turner, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Laura Ford of Fairmont, NC, Tom (Rudeen) Turner of Carrolton, GA, Cicero Turner, Jr. of Lake View, Gwen (Don) Hyatt of Dillon, Jerry Lee Turner of Dillon, and Florine (John) Young of Clinton, SC; grandchildren, Tommy and Ronnie Turner, Nicki (Brad) Moody, Dawn Michelle Turner, Tyler & Jeremey Turner, David Christmas, and Cam Collins; great-grandchildren, Ember Turner, Karestin and Thomas Turner.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her son, Crawford Pete Turner; and her grandchildren, Candy and Freddie Ford.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Molly McKenzie and her team with Hospice of South Carolina for the care given to Mrs. Gracie during her illness.
