Wild Gators Remain Undefeated

The Lake View Wild Gators added two more wins last week as they defeated the Dillon Christian School Warriors 9-3 on Wednesday night and the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders 20-0 on Friday.

In Wednesday’s game, Lake View scored four runs in the top of the first and added another in the second to take a 5-0 lead. The Gators added three in the third to lead 8-0, but the Warriors ran in two in the bottom of the fifth to finally get on the board. Both teams added one run in the seventh inning to secure Lake View’s 9-3 win.

In Friday’s game against the Raiders, Lake View took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first and added 13 runs in the second and two in the third to lead 20-0. The game was run-ruled after five innings.

Weston Rogers picked up the win, pitching three innings and allowing three hits and one walk with four outs. Ryan Mays took the loss for Hannah-Pamplico, pitching one inning for four hits, five runs, three earned runs, and one walk.

Rogers also led Lake View at bat, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Darius Leonard went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs. Chris Ford and Luke Newell each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Eric Munoz went 2-for-3 with one RBI. The Wild gators had 15 hits in the win.

Ryan Mays went 2-for-3 for Hannah-Pamplico and Drew Welch went 2-for-2 to account for all four of the Raiders’ hits. The Raiders also had four errors in the loss.

Lake View improved to 8-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 8-A as they prepare to host Creek Bridge tonight and Johnsonville on Friday. Both games begin at 5:30 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our team!
