Richard Raymond Elvis

Mr. Richard Raymond Elvis, 69, husband of Bertie Powers Elvis, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at his home after an illness.

Mr. Elvis, an avid fisherman, was born June 18, 1943 in Horry County, a son of the late Wilbur and Louella Hatcher Elvis. He was a retired businessman. Mr. Elvis attended East Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mr. Elvis in addition to his wife of the home are: his Children: Ken (Annette) Berry of Marion, Randy Berry of Marion, Kim (Rob) Caniglia of Latta, Frankie (Sharon) Carter of Marion and Richard Elvis, Jr. of Latta; his Grandchildren: Casey, Jesse, Dalton, Mikenzi, Austin, Jordan, Chloe, Zachary, Jason and Michael; a Brother: Melvin (Carolyn) Elvis of Marion; a Sister-in-Law: Betty Elvis of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was predeceased by a brother, Geroy Elvis and a sister, Jewell Turner.

A Chapel service for Mr. Elvis was held this past Saturday, December 23, at Cox-Collins Funeral Home in Mullins. He was laid to rest following the service in Devotion Gardens Cemetery
